1. Call to Order and Roll Call

  • Chairman Tiffany King called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
  • A quorum was confirmed.

  • No citizens were present wishing to speak.

3. Approval of Minutes

  • Action: Approval of minutes from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting held December 6, 2022.
  • Motion: Board Member Brafman
  • Second: Board Member Dennis

  • Nays: None
  • Result: Motion carried unanimously.

4. Fate Station Park Update

  • Presenter: Ashley Martin, Community Services Coordinator
  • Topics Presented:
    • Working through the punch list
    • Playground estimated to be approximately three months out
  • Board Discussion Topic:
    • Anticipated completion date

5. Joe Burger Park Update

  • Presenter: Ashley Martin, Community Services Coordinator

6. YMCA Agreement Update

  • Presenter: Steve Gilbert, Director of Community Services and Building Safety

Youth Sports Services Draft Agreement Topics:

  • City to provide outdoor fields as possible
  • City to provide meeting space as possible
  • City to assist with program promotion
  • City to provide a quarterly management fee beginning January 2023 in the amount of $2,500

Program Development Topics:

  • Contract term of one year
  • Quarterly payment identified as a start-up fee
  • Initial program focus on preschool soccer
  • Establishing demand and growing the program
