1. Call to Order and Roll Call
- Board Member Barry Brafman called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.
- Deputy City Secretary Samantha Harris confirmed a quorum and conducted roll call.

- Steve Gilbert, Director of Community Services and Building Safety
- Ashley Martin, Community Services Coordinator
- Samantha Harris, Deputy City Secretary
2. Citizen Comments
- No citizens were present wishing to speak.
3. Approval of Minutes from November 9, 2023 Meeting
- Board Member Virginia Harris moved to approve the minutes of the November 9, 2023 meeting.
- Board Member Shawna Shultz seconded the motion.
- Vote:
- Ayes: Brafman, Harris, Ijagbemi, Shultz, Dominique
- Nays: None
- The motion carried unanimously.
4. Project List Priorities and Initiation of First Project
- Steve Gilbert, Director of Community Services and Building Safety, provided an update on project priorities and answered questions from the Board.
- Presentation topics included:
- Shade structure
- Finish trail
- Trail landscaping
- Splash pad
- Amphitheater
- District A funding of approximately $450,000
- Soccer field work planned for the spring
- Discussion among board members and staff included:
- Shade structure as the priority to begin with
- Amphitheater pricing
- Southern trail connection to the amphitheater
- Shade structure location
- Amphitheater size
- Ability to reserve the amphitheater for activities
5. Christmas Tree Lighting Recap
- Ashley Martin, Community Services Coordinator, provided a recap of the Christmas tree lighting event and answered questions from the Board.
- Topics included:
- Santa located at the tree was well received
- Train attraction popularity
- Need to increase the quantity of s’mores for future events
- Road closure effectiveness
- Approximately 30 volunteers participated
- Additional discussion included:
- Possibility of moving the event to a Saturday
- Extending the duration of the event
6. Adjournment
- Board Member Barry Brafman moved to adjourn the meeting.
- Board Member Michelle Dominique seconded the motion.
- Vote:
- Ayes: Brafman, Harris, Ijagbemi, Shultz, Dominique
- Nays: None
- The motion carried unanimously.
- The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
