1. Call to Order and Quorum

  • The meeting was called to order by Mayor David Billings.
  • City Secretary Victoria Raduechel confirmed the presence of a quorum.

2. Public Comment

  • No members of the public addressed the Council during the public comment period.
  • Mayor Billings and the City Council recognized the birthdays of Michael Kovacs and Justin Weiss.

A. Planning and Zoning Commission Vacancy

1. Candidate Interviews

  • Nine applications were submitted for consideration.
  • The following applicants were interviewed:
    • Michael Beeman
    • Michelle Dominique
    • Leslie Hamrick
    • Daryell Harmon
    • Mark Harper
    • Braden Thomas
    • Douglas Woolf
  • The following applicants were not present:
    • Michael Gilmer
    • Ginger Pierce

2. Nominations

  • Council Member Megyesi nominated Daryell Harmon.
  • Council Member Robbins nominated Michelle Dominique.
  • Mayor Billings nominated Leslie Hamrick.
  • Council Member Brandt nominated Mark Harper.
  • No additional nominations were made.

3. Vote on Nominations

  • Vote totals were as follows:
    • Daryell Harmon: four votes
    • Michelle Dominique: one vote
    • Leslie Hamrick: one vote
    • Mark Harper: one vote
  • Mayor Billings announced that Daryell Harmon secured the nomination.

4. Resolution No. R-2022-072

  • Council Member Robbins moved to approve Resolution No. R-2022-072 appointing Daryell Harmon to the Planning and Zoning Commission for the remainder of an unexpired term ending July 2023.
  • Council Member Megyesi seconded the motion.
  • The vote was unanimous in favor.
  • The motion carried.

5. Oath of Office

  • City Secretary Victoria Raduechel administered the official oath of office to Daryell Harmon.
  • The Mayor and City Council expressed appreciation to all applicants and encouraged continued participation.

4. Adjournment

  • Council Member Robbins moved to adjourn.
  • Council Member Deland seconded the motion.
  • The vote was unanimous in favor.
  • The meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
