    • City Manager Michael Kovacs introduced Cynthia Kirchoff as City Attorney.
  • Employee Service Awards
    • Captain Ryan Ragan presented a five-year service award to Brian Dean.
    • Mayor Billings presented a ten-year service award to City Manager Michael Kovacs.
  • Earth Day Proclamation
    • Council Member Heather Buegeler read a proclamation declaring April 22, 2024, as Earth Day in the City of Fate.
  • Child Abuse Awareness Proclamation
    • Mayor Billings read a proclamation recognizing the Child Advocacy Center of Rockwall County, Lone Star CASA, and the Rainbow Room of Rockwall County.
    • April 2024 was proclaimed Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month in the City of Fate.
    • Representatives from the organizations were present.

  • Resolution R-2024-019: Acceptance of a General Warranty Deed from New Sheridan Dev Co., LLC.
  • Resolution R-2024-020: Acceptance of a Parkland Dedication Deed from New Sheridan Dev Co., LLC.
  • Resolution R-2024-021: Agreement with Kimley-Horn for Miss May Drive Extension design.
  • Resolution R-2024-022: Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Rockwall County for Miss May Drive Extension.
  • Ordinance O-2024-017: Amendments relating to illegal water connections and utility interference.
  • Ordinance O-2024-018: Adoption of a Water Conservation, Water Resource, and Emergency Management Plan.

Resolution R-2024-024 – 2024 Annual Concrete Rehabilitation Project

  • Contract awarded to B&B Concrete and Sawing, Inc. for $257,800.00.
  • Vote: Approved unanimously.
